Lashed out? Wasn't trying to bring him to her realm? "Is your perspective so skewed that you don't recall grabbing my hand and quite literally dragging me to your realm?!" The bafflement of this plastered across his face. "You overpowered me, kidnapped me, took me to a place where only you had power, AND THEN strongly suggested we speak. As if I even had an option!" His perplexion was evident, how did she feel like she was innocent here? Or that his defensive behavior was so obscene!? He didn't even process she had now stolen his drunkenness. He didn't care either as he was heated over the gaslighting. "Kind? All I did was say this gem is mine, jokingly throwing pirate law into a situation where it wouldn't apply which didn't even matter. Nothing really does when the power hunger feels the need to throw said power around. "

Hawk sneers a second before locking his jaw and at last, realizing his sobriety. Which definitely didn't help the heated moment. He was trying to be nice, and get vulnerable with some he thought might understand since she was probably the only other person who went through what he had with the Tremblay brothers. Those were drunken hopes he was seeing now as his gaze turned to a glare. Hawk was quite level-headed and often calm but right now he was livid and yet his magic was at bay and it had nothing to do with being in her realm now but everything to do with him being sober. He scoffed and shook his head. "Our paths are unfortunately tied, Clarice. No matter what I do I now know I will always end up back here." He stepped through the portal she gave him. "You want to teach me but it is you who needs to learn first it seems. Hopefully when we next meet in a day, a week, a year, whenever you've taken a moment to review our first encounter. Put yourself in my shoes HELL put yourself in your own! Think back to what it was like with Prospero and remember HOW THAT FELT! Because facing that trauma and every other after made me a better person to those around me than they did when I avoided them. Maybe they'll do the same for you; you're only the villain because you're exactly like them. Exactly what they wanted us to become."

Hawk stared at her until the portal closed and then even still remained staring until he cooled slightly. His night was ruined however, he no longer longed for a drink, and was certainly in no mood to socialize. He sucked his teeth of course the Tremblays would give him an older sister and of course, they would hate each other "How typical of those arseholes." He huffed to release the heat simmering in his chest his mind wandering to Lily as he wondered what she was doing nowadays and trying to recall the last time The Wind was nice enough to blow her his way. Almost immediately he was calm and the heated anger he felt moments ago was now replaced by a new warmth; one he could call asleep peacefully with.

Months went on but Hawk never forgot his interactions with Clarice. Though all hope that slithered into his heart of being siblings had long died and that part of his heart had turned back to stone. He should've known better given the history between him and his real younger brother. That look of hatred and disgust when he reunited with Wolf for just that fleeting second was one trauma that still deeply hurt. It was that hurt that maybe encouraged him to try with Clarice despite their terrible first meeting. He sighed as he ran the sharp blade through the bowl of water before him a few times before bringing it up towards his face. Freezing the moment his scenery instantly changed and he was met with what seemed like an equally confused Clarice. That tie he had mentioned was at work again. "Well at least I'm fully dressed." he raised his arms in frustration and sighed as they plopped down to his sides. He wiped the remaining he face with his sleeve since finishing his shave would no longer be possible and sheathed his knife. "I'll just... never be nude again now that I know this is presently a thing." He gestured between them referring to his random jump here clearly unenthusiastic about this.
✧ Well, I touched it so it'…tag:timeless.ning.com,2023-05-20:5164310:Comment:1036122023-05-20T16:19:17.952ZClarice De Biville - Councilhttp://timeless.ning.com/profile/ClariceDeBiville

I was trying to give you a place to sit down. She was growing tiresome of this foolish act. Oh how the young buried themselves in alcohol to avoid problems. She just kept her gaze upon him wondering how long this would go on for, Watching him answer her question without so much actually answering her question. He would have lost his life several sentences ago if he had wound up in Thistlemoon with Kyan. Yet his reaction turning to stone as she drew near was one she had come to know by others. She was the bad guy after all to most she came across. The small few who didn’t see her that way understood the burden she placed upon herself.

Maybe that was why she was trying to help him, to gain another ally in a world that she didn’t have many. Merely a collector of pawns. Sobering him up was a selfish move for her own sanity as she was tired of dealing with a drunk toddler. A drunk toddler was somehow worse than his regular childish antics in the two meetings they have had. “In your first meeting you were not very kind and lashed out on a stranger. Maybe I could have been kinder but my isolation has only made me cruder as time has passed.” She gave a shrug of her shoulders. “I am not one who takes on students often. The last one ended up…” She got lost in the thought of the Mystic who lost their lives in the loom of faith. “Well no longer with me.” She sighed heavily.

Not wanting to talk about the people he was close to was a smart tactic to have in life so she pressed not much on it. “Do you always act like such a child?” She questioned as she moved her fingers to her nose to pinch the bridge of it. For someone who feared her getting close he really had a mouth on him and an utter tantrum mentality. “I feel you don’t remember I wasn’t trying to pull you into my realm. I didn’t even know you would be near the stone. I was only trying to keep something out of the hands out of another who would use it on others. Though maybe I should point out you entered my realm the second time without consent. At best I accidentally kidnapped you for five minutes. It’s not like I caused you any harm whatsoever.”

Clarice held a small part of her that sympathized with him as she had her own tale in life. How she was used, and abused. Yet she turned all that into where she was now. Going out of her way to correct such tragic events in time trying to make the world a better place with each thread she weaved. Instead of telling him how he should see things from her point of view she chose not to fight with her feelings. She learned long ago her feelings would never matter to another. Especially when another felt they were right with every word that leaves their mouth. To him she was just as bad as those who abused him even though all she was trying to do originally was keep others safe. He would never see that. She will always only be a woman who ‘kidnapped’ him.

“I’m sorry you still feel you should have been killed instead. I learned shit happens in life and all you can do is try not to let it rule your life.” She moved over and filled a goblet with wine since all he wished was to be drunk again; she could make that happen with one drink and send him on his way. “I try to be kind to all but I am the bad guy in many stories. I can count the friends I have on one hand and the enemies I cannot.” She gave a shrug. “If everyone knew how many wars I have stopped, how many medications I have made for the world, how many dangerous magical artifacts I kept out of the hands of others, maybe they would think differently. I am trying to make a world that I would want to live in but I cannot. I am stuck here.” She held out the goblet as she stared at one of the many fancy paintings on the wall. Her eyes tracing the pattern for a moment.

“Drink and go on your way and let the monster rot away.” She said sitting the goblet down and moving from where she had been standing towards the library she had been making her way towards. The halls moving and taking the next right she stepped into the library and opened a small chest she had there that held the bracelet that once bound her to Hera and huffed at it. She was becoming more and more like him with her gruffness; it was like she was losing the pieces of sanity that once made her so kind to everyone. She had been met with stones all her life, even when she did things for others like healing Isolde and bonding her with her true love Tristian ended with the pair hating her. Though if she was fair the spell did backfire on her.

She had so many regrets in this life, maybe that was what was driving her slightly mad. She slid the bracelet back and picked up a random spell book she was flipping through.

The fool did fall over... Over the stool meant to catch him. Hawk groaned from the ground "You did that on purpose!" he grumbled like an annoying little brother as he then began to climb and pull himself onto the stool. He hiccuped several times as she spoke and questioned him often interrupting her words. "What!?" he aired perplexed squinting his eyes to focus because there were now four of her. "You answered my quest..." He swallowed the rest of his words with and sharp inhale as a spark of sober realization settled in his mind for just one second. "...oh I did answer myself, didn't I? Huh..." he said aloud but as he wasn't speaking directly to Clarice. He said nothing further to answer her question on this as it should've been clear that at this moment he had answered his own question due to his drunkness.

Like a scared puppy, Hawk nearly panicked as she approached and froze. Maybe if he was still enough she wouldn't see him but of course, she did. His childlike logic wouldn't work anymore, and certainly not here. Hawk's fear of closeness in certain situations and of her and her connection to the Tremblay brothers turned him to stone. It was in fact the only reason he allowed her so close and kept his hand shut as she closed it because even in his drunkness he was afraid of what consequence he might face if he so much as moved. Then there were the questions about Lily. He of course was aware enough to realize he mentioned her first but now Clarice kept asking. He didn't trust it. He knew better than to say anything to anyone about his personal life and even some of the Rogues he'd grown close to didn't know of Lily. If only to keep the only light in his dark life safe.

It was a crude and chilling feeling as she sobered him up. Not at all pleasant considering he got drunk on purpose and now all the proof of his work was gone. His face tightened at the realization of his sobriety and his mouth formed a thin line. "You ask now when you should've asked before when we first met. So this asking means nothing." his sharp tone showed he was still on guard of her naturally and getting through that was going to take time. "I know better than to speak of my life and the people there to you or anyone. What I want is to be drunk. Give it back!" he huffed as he crossed his arms over his chest. There was a moment of stillness before he huffed once more. "Not all Mystics or people respond to fear and its tactics well. You say you want to help our kind but kidnapping us and dragging us here without consent or even understanding doesn't match your words." he sighed and looked away from her.

I'm sure you know this but sometimes we need to hear it from someone else." he spoke in a much softer tone though his face was still stern. His eyes scanned hers while he uncrossed his arms and another moment of quietness passed. "My parents sold me to Ramus before I even knew how to spell my own name. They're supernatural hunters, every member of the House of Black is, and my parents are the head. " Hawk admitted as he stood and looked around. "They'd learned early on I wasn't human I don't even know what it was that told them but they peddled me instead of killing me as they should've. Promising Ramus his life if he took me."Hawks's voice faded as a vacant look grew in his eyes and filled with pain as he tried to fight his chain of memories.

"Sometimes I still hoped they killed me instead." he said beneath his breath and glossed right over that topic. "I can't even remember my parent's faces or if they were real... because when I think back on my childhood and who raised me all I see are the Tremblay brothers hovering over me like shadow as their crooked smiles cast down on me like a wicked moon." he maintained his softness of voice and twisted his mouth. "We all have it bad us Mystics and maybe because of the men who raised us, you and I got it a little slightly worse... Or a lot worse... But that just means we should be kinder to those like us, no?" again he huffed and looked away. "or maybe I've spent too much time with Gypsies."

She looked at her book wondering when she should pull Hera back to her realm to be with him. She missed his company in many ways. As she moved to pick up a glass drinking the Fae Wine that Kyan sent her regularly. Her eyes went wide at Hawk stumbling into her realm. “How in the hell.” Once again he managed to make his way into her realm without her invitation, he was becoming somewhat of a problem for her security spell, causing her to worry.

Clarice wasn’t one to allow a man to yell at her so he was lucky to have his tongue still but she took in his demeanor time really did move differently for them. He was so drunk at this point and wanted to act a fool. She could remember a few drunken nights like this, she had made herself a fool more then once in her life not that she would ever admit that to anyone. “Well you are correct people fucking suck but that is why we have our circles of people that suck less then everyone else. Are you saying there is no one in this world that makes the people who suck not exist for you?” She questioned waving a finger to allow one of the stools of her kingdom to move behind him so if he fell over it could catch him.

She gave a gentle sigh to answer why she returned the gift before he just decided he knew the answer so she rolled her eyes in. “Are you always in the habit of answering your questions on what people think of you? If you do that with everyone it's no wonder you think everyone sucks. Maybe you are projecting your own self feelings onto others. I returned the gift because it belongs to you. The song reached out towards you. I am just a protector of magical items. It didn’t seem like it would be a threat in your hands. I figured it should be with the person it chose. Not many Mystics could say they are chosen by magical items like you with this stone.” She moved closer towards him.

She reached down picking up the stone in her hand, “Please do not do this silly little game of cat and mouse. I will fuse this stone into your flesh if you leave it here yet again.” She downed her wine and sat it aside. “Lily ah there is someone who makes the world suck less for you. Well lost doesn’t even begin to describe what you are.” Clarice mumbled to herself before looking at the stone running her thumb along it feeling the magic swaying in it pulling towards Hawk. She knew what happened in that moment, her magic was traced on the stone allowing his drunken determination to allow him to enter her realm once again.

“Jeeze.” she scoffed as he stared at her and she waved his hand casting a remove poison spell which would sober him up because alcohol has poison affects. He would be sober with no hangover due to her spell. “The stone seems to have retained some of my magic when I threw it back into your pocket, meaning you will have a way to travel here when you are determined to do so. Maybe the stone wants me to be your teacher and you my student but the question is do you want that?” She asked him then with a snarky tone, “See how I did that? I asked you a question and didn’t answer it for you on what you cared to do.” She scoffed slightly at him before moving over. Taking his hand and opening his palm, placing the stone there.

“Do you want me to send you home to Lily, was it?” she purred out the name.

He was normally the jolly drunk who sang sea shanties and asked if people wanted to see a magic trick only to forget all his magic due to his lack of training. "Whoops" he'd chuckle out like a child in that event yet instead quietly he sat in the corner of The Dragon Lady; Promising he'd share his latest journey at a later date. He was staring at one of his grimoires to appear as though he were studying and all the ladies and rogues knew at that site to let him be. Truth be told he could no longer see straight and his once vividly clear thoughts were just as murky as his sight.

He finished this last drink and closed out his tab. He hiccuped and knew it was time to stop drinking as he struggled to get his book in his satchel. He huffed as another hiccup jumped out of him and a soft snicker bounced from him as the fellow rogues near him began to chuckle. The young mystic was soon hiccuping out his laughter when it wouldn't stop and instead inserted itself into the sounds of his chuckles and laughs. He sat back in his chair feeling slightly better as the laughter died down and the hiccups eventually stopped. He relaxed even further when he heard the soft croons of a siren's call. Closing his eyes to enjoy the calming and alluring tune. It took a second through his heavy drunkness to feel the new weight of his once-empty pocket and another second to register how no one else could hear the beautiful song. Finally, it registered in his inebriated mind that like a real siren, this song wasn't calling him to its owner, or even the sea for that matter.

Hawk blinked in a sorry attempt to clear his mead-filled gaze and reached into his pocket. Stiffening as he felt the edge of the smooth jewel graze his fingertips. The stubborn dunce huffed as he crossed his over his chest and glowered out in front of him in thought. He mumbled and grumbled under his breath a string of curses and half sentences to himself that everyone around just ignored. It wasn't an unusual sight since the mystic was often running into some mystical conundrum or another that no one could really help with. A few lent him their hand when they saw him stumble to his feet but let him be when he insisted he was fine. He stumbled to the street but marched on with purpose. Gaining speed the longer he let his intoxication manipulate the anger he tried to drink away. Trotting down the lantern-lit streets on a brisk night was a cathartic feeling and running was sobering.

Soon his sight was clear but his mind was still drowning in rum with his emotions soaked in mead. He sored down the streets and to his home feeling a magnetic pull that wouldn't allow him to slow down. Hawk couldn't explain what he was sensing beneath his heavy emotions but his instincts told him if he slowed down now he'd die. So instead he sped up running straight through his locked door without taking damage or damaging his door. Following the pull to where Clarice had closed her portal and without even realizing or knowing how ran through her closed portal straight into her realm.

Now since Hawk was still very drunk the young fool had no clue what the hell he was doing. He was an emotional being now that he could be but that sometimes meant he had no filter too. "It's not up to you to decide whether or not I meant my apology!" he hollered from down the long hallway he found her traversing. He put his hands on his hips and panted as he cursed like the sailor was about how out of breath and dizzy he felt. "You can not believe me sure or even not accept it but I mean everything I say and everything I say, I say because I want to dammit not because I want to please people! PEOPLE FUCKING SUCK... LIKE ALL THE TIME!! It's really frustrating actually..." he panted out and continued to struggle to catch his breath. He stumbled some as if it weren't already blatantly clear that he was absolutely crapulous. "And why did you return my gift?" he questioned as he held out the jewel and frowned. "Ahh you hate me." he answered himself with a final huff to at last catch his breath and a firm nod as if Clarice had been the one that answered. "okay... I'm... I'm finished."

The poor drunken fool hiccuped again and tried but failed not to laugh at himself as he set the jewel on the floor for her. Hawk swayed faintly as he straightened and spun around to walk away but froze when nothing looked familiar. He couldn't even remember which way he came from as he looked about. "aww I'm lost... Lily's gonna kill if I take too long to get back home." he hiccuped out once again until everything hit him all at once and a lightbulb flickered on in his dumb little mind. He stiffened then as his shoulder rose and his head stooped. He couldn't sober up fast enough as a cold fear iced up his spin. He was afraid to look back at Clarice who must have been just as confused as him as to how he got her but he did and gulped. How he got to her realm was a mystery because he could just remember running and this odd forceful pull that yanked at him until he answered with action. He stared at her with grave caution until of course he hiccuped yet again and began to fight back his very childlike laughter.
It had been a long time since…tag:timeless.ning.com,2022-11-11:5164310:Comment:1004522022-11-11T03:41:25.440ZClarice De Biville - Councilhttp://timeless.ning.com/profile/ClariceDeBiville

It had been a long time since anyone had been able to get under her skin and cause her to yell in such a way. It was as if she knew what their relationship was going to turn too even before it could happen. She felt the connection of wanting to help the young mystic and all she could feel at that moment was anger and frustration and like a monster. As he kept his back to her she felt her gaze soften to a frown pushing yet another person out of her life. No wonder she was so alone with Hera not able to stay long in her realm due to the magic. Hawk could have been someone who could come and go due to his blood being touched by magic in a different way.

She would admit she had expected him to walk through the portal and leave her wickedness behind and no longer think about her. Hearing someone apologize to her made her ears perk up for a moment. She couldn’t remember the last person to apologize and mean it. Yet his next words made his apology mean nothing. “I guess you are right. I have always thought I was doing what was best to keep the world from not falling into another war like the one of the gods. But I am like them. A monster.” She let her gaze fall on a random figure in the room, maybe she should seal off this realm and leave her mantle as the weaver of fate.

Cursed. She knew them well but she couldn’t claim her action on being cursed. “Cursed isn’t the word I can claim. I had a duty, or maybe I just made myself more important than I was.” she muttered to herself. She didn’t like this man, he was getting too deep into her head. “Your apology wasn’t a real one. Since you believe something of me, stand by it instead of making half-hearted apologies.” She said in a more stern voice. “Trying to please people with apologies are words you don’t believe in will only lead you to trouble. Try and stand firm in what you believe until you are proven wrong. People pleasing got me in a lot of bad spots.” She admitted to the stranger.

She looked at him confused as he drew closer to her, her body was tense as he did so. Watching him press his lips to the stone before hearing the song for once besides screaming. She felt her body relax in that moment hearing the song that was so hypnotic. Of course he wanted the stone it was truly calling to him. She felt bad for trying to part them. As his hand slipped into hers feeling the stone warm in her palm. Was he truly sorry? She wondered as the feeling of empty loneliness filled her home once again. She stared at the stone for a long time before she opened a portal tossing it through that would allow it to land in one of his pockets before she moved to her empty throne room.
The weary young traveller fli…tag:timeless.ning.com,2022-07-27:5164310:Comment:992032022-07-27T06:46:20.975ZHawk Blackhttp://timeless.ning.com/profile/Black

Warily watching her and grasping every word she spat out; his heart harmonised with her words and it banged in his chest like a child playing with a drum. He felt so much older suddenly as this topic was heavy and one he never wanted to be reminded of. It felt like he were fifty years old while at the same he felt like he were that five-year-old boy again. Paralysed by the fear of just existing because as long as he breathed he was a threat. He felt the raging heat of his anger rise up and burn deep inside him like dragons' breath. Scratching at his throat and pressing against his lips. He consequently felt as though he burned his tongue keeping his mouth shut as his lips twitched and sneered in restraint.

After all these years he thought he had gotten better at reading people. Telling their truths from their lies but the moment he was triggered he lost all his sense and reverted to the black-hearted pirate who saw all the world as cruel. In those days and moments, there was no good in the world in his eyes because he had been taken back to a place in his life where he knew no good. Hawk had a way of turning off his heart and in those moments, though they were rare he scared himself.

He felt it coming as he stared at Clarice with a cold expression. His eyes staying transfixed on the mystic before him as he picked up the book she threw. Really only retrieving the item to give his body something to do in the instant to keep from exploding. He at least had enough sense to know how dangerous two angry mystics going for each other's necks would be, regardless of the realm and him being the weaker of the two of them. Slowly his cold gaze looked from her to the portal she opened to kick him out. His stone expression only solidifying further as he approached and stepped through, keeping his back to her as she kept hers to him.

"Unlike most, I'm not above my pride to say when I'm wrong. I do apologise for offending you." His dark voice crept through the abrupt silence that had befallen between them. "But you can't say you're nothing like them." He spoke with a melancholic tone that suddenly pierced through his icy expression and his head snapped to the side to side eye her from over his shoulder. "If you were nothing like them, you'd have not kidnapped me into your strange realm or threatened me with your... Superiority in the mystic arts." He turned away and huffed with a heavy heart as he brought his hand to his cheat surprised at the little sliver of light still alive in there. "Even I'm somewhat like them, it's a curse we both must bear."

"You're angry now, we both are but I hope one day you take the time to consider my apology and review my words and your actions. Maybe with a clearer head, you'll find we were both wrong here." He shot an audible breath from his nose as he watched her back. He frowned knowing how deeply upset he had made her and the last thing he wanted to do was make anyone relive the trauma of their past. He never doubted her about that but instead on her loyalty to them even in death. Hawk knew first-hand what Stockholm syndrome was like therefore he trusted no one who knew them. Quietly he came up behind her with the sirens rune in his hand.

He kissed it gently and then whispered something to it while it was still pressed to his lips. He lingered behind her a moment as the rune began to sing loud enough for Clarice to hear rather than the screaming she heard before. He then placed the jewel in her hand without making her look at him as the rune kept singing because he had asked it to; his own anger still lingering in his soul. "I really am sorry." And with that, he left her realm again and this time allowed the portal to close. He rubbed his face and then frustratedly ran his hands through his hair disheveling it completely. He huffed trying to rid himself of this heavy feeling repeatedly rubbing his tears away. He needed a drink and though the rogues and the ladies at The Dragon Lady would ask countless questions about his long journey and why he'd come back empty-handed he still went, hoping a good ale would level his mood.
Clarice jumped at him jumpin…tag:timeless.ning.com,2022-06-10:5164310:Comment:984992022-06-10T16:05:23.703ZClarice De Biville - Councilhttp://timeless.ning.com/profile/ClariceDeBiville

You in fact came across me due to your own mariets.” She challenged back as he reached for the sword that hung on his hip, she gave a gentle sigh as the tip was pressed against her throat as she knelt before him. She was quiet for a long moment as her heart ached for him knowing he had shared a life so close to hers that even her projecting her life to show she understood only caused more complications.

She stared at him for a long time before speaking again. “If you really believed I was just showing you your own life then you would have killed me.” She said simply as her blue gaze rested on his. “You can’t be self absorbed enough to truly believe you are the only person who was tortured in such ways. I have the scars from my captivity.” She showed her wrist that was scared with X’s and a few other scars mingling there. “Don’t tell me I don’t understand. That man r/aped me, that man tortured me, that man took my childhood and turned me into the person I am today. That man made me fear the world so much that out of my damaged brain I created this realm to feel safe! Yet only locking myself away from the world now.” the pain lingering there for a moment as she looked away.

Reaching for the book in that moment she flipped it open understanding her monster was connected to his monsters. Closing that book as his words cut her deeper than any sword could. You think she would be used to being the monster in everyone's stories. “I AM NOTHING LIKE THEM!” she screamed finally before tossing the book back at him, anger raging as she stood up but choosing to step back and away from him. “Leave my realm, believe what you want. Make me the new monster.” The portal opened up showing his room, throwing the stone back at him that brought him to her attention. “Have a good life.” She kept her back to him as tears flowed freely.
Portals weren't a concept he…tag:timeless.ning.com,2022-01-09:5164310:Comment:979542022-01-09T03:21:35.997ZHawk Blackhttp://timeless.ning.com/profile/Black

He shot to his feet as she came in close, dropping the book and back away. "He sent you!" His voice hissed with bitter mistrust as a wild look sparked to life making his eyes glow. He flicked his wrist and to his hand flew his sword, The Sword of Ptah which once belonged to the Goddess Sekhmet but was blessed to him by her. Another story for another time. His movements were quick and precise as the tip of the sword was now gently pressed to her throat. "I knew your life looked familiar. I knew because it was my life you showed me, not yours. You just changed some details to make me feel like you understood but... I knew the Tremblay brothers and how they thought or acted or broke people into loving them. So I don't trust anyone that knew them." His voice was dark and slightly raised and his gaze was locked on her as they began to flow brighter and brighter every second that passed.

He studied her closely allowing nothing to go over his head or get past him when it came to her. After a second of sensing what seemed like confusion from her, he kicked the book which held the Tremblay's family tree and history towards her as he then took one step back. Allowing the tip of his sword to move from her throat without cutting her skin but keeping up and pointing at her just in case. He may not have been able to take her magic vs magic but with this particular sword, he had a much higher chance. "I knew I didn't like you and I couldn't figure out why. It's because you remind me of them. You're just like them." His tone was completely cold and harsh where most times he cared about how his words affected people adversely here he didn't because he truly believed Clarice was up to no good.
Watching him stumble back as…tag:timeless.ning.com,2022-01-07:5164310:Comment:980422022-01-07T19:08:12.587ZClarice De Biville - Councilhttp://timeless.ning.com/profile/ClariceDeBiville

Watching him stumble back as he yanked himself free, She watched him with a raised brow. His reaction. Was almost as if he had lived her life also. She didn’t dive into the heads of others too often. She thought about it for a moment to see what was plaguing him. Who had broken his trust in every being so. Maybe she couldn’t fault his reaction, she was sure she was utterly as volatile after gaining her freedom from Prospero especially since it caused her a great friends life. So she took a step closer to try and calm him down. The haunted look in his eyes made her pause. She swallowed hard watching him disappear.

Moving where the portal had once been she held her hand out to it. “Till we meet again, Hawk.” She said softly before the realm around her came alive once again. A chair coming from across the room to sweep her off her feet and take her towards her study. She began to put together a few books that would be important study guides for the young Sorceri. He would have a long road ahead and unless he chose to stay in her Timeless realm for a long time he would have to learn on his own. Looking to the cage she had pretty much created herself, a loud sigh left her lips.

She knew it was for the right reasons and yet. The chair bumped into the table to pull her from her thoughts and she muttered to herself. “Yes, yes I know, no spiraling.” She sighed as she finished off the last of the five starter books. Waving her hand they were bound in leather and she stood from her desk. “I wonder if he will rip me apart like Tristan wants too.” She moved her fingers along the sleeve of her dress before it changed to something more appropriate for his era in time. She slid a glowing ring on her finger, picking up the leather bound books. Crossing the room towards a giant mirror she spoke.

Panic rose in her chest as she wondered if he was trying to take his life. She didn’t give it a second thought as she stepped into the mirror and into the room he was in on the floor. She dropped the books from her arms with a loud thud as she moved closer.

“Hawk! Hawk! Are you okay?” She asked as she fell to her knees on the ground beside him. “Speak to me!” She demanded as she looked around to see if there was water or anything she could splash on him. Though he was already covered in a cold sweat. Not understanding that he had made a discovery that connected them.
